The Blend

The term: "Blend" comes from the English and means something like: "mixture". The main focus here is on a mixture of different types of coffee, which is used, among other things, to create your very own coffee enjoyment.

Our Original Espresso Blend is a delicious blend of 80% Arabica and 20% Robusta beans from the growing regions of India, Uganda and Indonesia.

This blend contains a little more caffeine, which makes it particularly suitable for long journeys, lengthy work meetings or even for night shifts and takes you to distant countries in a pleasurable break.

The Flavor

The Original Espresso Blend is a "medium roast" espresso and impresses with a perfectly balanced pleasure that is neither too mild nor too strong. In terms of flavor, it offers a slight acidity, which meets caramel-chocolate notes, among other things, and thus merges into a pleasantly balanced, full-bodied "marzipan touch".

Flavor notes: Dark cocoa, caramel, marzipan, slightly spicy.

The Bean

This blend consists of:

- India Monsooned Malabar AA

According to legend, Indian coffee was imported from Yemen around 1670. It is appreciated worldwide for its delicate aroma and delicious taste, which often tastes like flowers and forests due to its elegant acidity and sweetish notes.

It illuminates its characteristic flavor through a unique preparation called: Monsooning. This is a special process that originally dates back to a time when coffee beans were still transported to Europe on sailing boats. This exposed the beans to a controlled amount of moisture over a long period of time, which significantly altered their taste and color. So that you don't have to do without this special taste experience even today, the monsooning process is carried out artificially by distributing the coffee beans in layers and then exposing them to the humid air of the monsoon winds for 7 weeks.

- Uganda Bugisu AA

In eastern Africa, beneath an epic canopy of snow and ice, lies a stunning rainforest criss-crossed by blue rivers... Fancy a mind leap journey? No problem, a sip of the full-bodied, harmonious coffee from Uganda sends you on a journey to a fascinating mountain range, where small farmers lovingly raise their coffee plants at an altitude of over 1,000 meters above sea level.

In terms of flavor, the Arabica beans are characterized by a fruit bouquet that has a light nougat note.

- Indonesia Robusta

When the Dutch brought coffee to Indonesia in 1696, it was still being sold in Europe as a medicine that very few could afford. "It refreshes the memory and cleanses the skin"... And even today we can still enjoy this unique highland coffee and even at a far more affordable price. Because the plantations are 1300 meters above sea level, which is why they have been able to grow in absolute isolation for hundreds of years and have thus retained their unmistakable character to the present day.

In addition, the mineral-rich volcanic rock provides the coffee plant with everything a plant heart desires, creating a spicy aroma that is memorable with a mild acidity and chocolaty flavor.
