The Blend

The term: "Blend" comes from the English and means something like: "mixture". The main focus here is on a mixture of different types of coffee, which is used, among other things, to create your very own coffee enjoyment.

Our Hot Rod Blend is a delicious blend of 80% Arabica and 20% Robusta beans from the growing regions of Brazil, Honduras and Indonesia.

This blend contains a little more caffeine, which makes it particularly suitable for long journeys, lengthy work meetings or even for night shifts and takes you to distant countries in a pleasurable break.

The Flavor

The flavor:

The Hot Rod Blend is a "medium roast" coffee and therefore has a perfectly balanced body that is neither too mild nor too strong. You can expect a slight acidity, which meets chocolate notes and thus leads to a pleasant milk chocolate finish.

Flavor notes: fine dark milk chocolate, subtle caramel

The blend consists of:

- Brazil Santos NY

The special thing about coffee cultivation in Brazil is that this country extends over three climatic zones (equatorial, subtropical and temperate). This means that Brazil has excellent conditions for growing Arabica beans. Coffee from this part of the world is characterized by its soft, delicate flavor and also offers numerous variations, which are usually accompanied by characteristic chocolate tones, which are particularly pleasing on the finish.

Around three-quarters of all coffee cultivation comes from smallholders, which always gives the beans their own charm and has continued to do so since 1797. Furthermore, the coffee cherries are processed using the dry method, which in this case means that they were able to "recharge their batteries" under the Brazilian sun.

- Honduras SHG EP Guara Verde

Arabica coffee from Honduras is of a very high quality, which is characterized in its profile by a piquant acidity and a wonderful fruity taste. Honduras has a very warm and humid tropical climate, which with its frequent rainfall is ideal for coffee cultivation.

The special flavor of the Central American coffee beans, which are grown, cared for and processed with love, convinces with its complexity of a playful combination of sweet caramel and fresh fruit, which means that one coffee tastes more like figs and another more like pomegranates .

- Indonesia Robusta

When the Dutch brought coffee to Indonesia in 1696, it was still being sold in Europe as a medicine that very few could afford. "It refreshes the memory and cleanses the skin". And even today we can still enjoy this unique highland coffee and even more affordable. Because the plantations are 1300 meters above sea level, which is why they have been able to grow in absolute isolation for hundreds of years and have thus retained their unmistakable character to the present day.

In addition, the mineral-rich volcanic rock provides the coffee plant with everything a plant heart desires, creating a spicy aroma that is memorable with a mild acidity and chocolaty flavor.
